Turkey denies allegations links to terror attacks in India

(MENAFN) Türkiye on Wednesday firmly dismissed allegations circulating in certain Indian media outlets that accused Ankara of being connected to terrorist activities in India.

According to the Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM), “The deliberate reports in certain Indian media outlets claiming that 'Türkiye is linked to terrorist acts in India and provides logistical, diplomatic, and financial support to terrorist groups' are part of a malicious disinformation campaign aimed at damaging bilateral relations between the two countries.”

The DMM reaffirmed that Türkiye condemns all forms of terrorism, regardless of where or by whom they are committed, emphasizing that the nation continues to take an active role in global counterterrorism initiatives.

As noted in the statement, Ankara “actively” supports the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and contributes significantly to NATO’s counterterrorism policies.

“The claim that Türkiye engages in 'radicalisation activities' targeting India or any other country is purely disinformative and lacks any factual basis,” the DMM added.

It further stressed that “such unfounded and manipulative reports” are intended to undermine Türkiye’s commitment to international peace and stability, urging the public to disregard these baseless accusations.
