Schneider Electric launches Yuva Yodha tech hackathon
The hackathon supports the Government of India’s sustainability objectives by promoting innovation in energy technologies, digitalisation, and automation.
INDIA, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Schneider Electric has launched Yuva Yodha, a national tech hackathon in India aimed at empowering young minds to develop innovative solutions for advancing energy technology and sustainability. This initiative aligns with India’s goal of creating a resilient, efficient, and sustainable economy by nurturing future problem-solvers and innovators.Participants aged 18 and above, enrolled in full-time studies, can compete individually or in teams of four across four challenge areas: Sustainable Agriculture, Smart Buildings, Grid Reliability & Renewable Intermittency, and Smart Manufacturing. The hackathon supports the Government of India’s sustainability objectives by promoting innovation in energy technologies, digitalisation, and automation.

Prizes include Rs 20 lakh for the Grand Prize, Rs 15 lakh for the Runner-up, and Rs 10 lakh for the Second Runner-up, with the top 10 teams potentially securing grants from Schneider Electric Ventures. This initiative underscores Schneider Electric’s commitment to enhancing India’s innovation ecosystem and developing sustainable, energy-efficient solutions.
