MUMBAI, MAHARASTRA, INDIA, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- EARTH 51 has expanded its Responsible and Ethical AI leadership work to India, working with the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai), in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and NVIDIA, to help prepare the next generation of business leaders for the AI era.

Delivered at IIM Mumbai on 28 August 2026, the programme brought together MBA students and faculty to address a rapidly emerging business priority: AI is no longer simply a technology capability. It is a leadership capability.

The initiative marks the next stage in EARTH 51’s work to build Responsible AI skills across academia and industry. Earlier this year, EARTH 51 worked with the University of Reading in the UK on a Responsible AI initiative that reached more than 1,000 students in 100 days. India is a natural next step. As one of the world’s most important technology and talent markets, its next generation of business leaders will play a significant role in how AI is adopted, governed and scaled.

At IIM Mumbai, EARTH 51 challenged participants to look beyond AI tools and consider the wider decisions surrounding their use – from business value and productivity to governance, workforce impact, sustainability and trust.

Central to the programme was EARTH 51’s SAFER framework – Sustainability, Accountability, Fairness, Explainability and Resilience – designed to help leaders make better decisions about how AI is developed, deployed and used.
